The Societe Generale Foundation supports innovation that benefits the common good. This is why it is involved in many associations providing solutions in this area, like Simplon.co, Singa, WeTakeCare and Article 1 to name just a few. Several of them were present at the Social Good Week, one of the main events dedicated to web-based solidarity.
The importance of digital
The seventh edition of the Social Good Week was held from 7 to 14 March. The event, advocating for a supportive and committed web, is deployed in fifteen French towns, where over 80 training and awareness workshops open to the public were held. Its objective? To give a voice to the associations and groups that share the same vision of an alternative, committed and forward-looking web. A “Tech For Good” web, that puts digital and entrepreneurship at the service of regions’ challenges. This initiative resonates with the values of the Societe Generale Foundation, very sensitive to innovative approaches fostering professional integration.
The Societe Generale Foundation’s partners get involved in the SGW
Simplon.co, a partner of the Societe Generale Foundation, which supported the association’s “Just Code It” project in 2016, ran a workshop in Paris, “Makeuses”, designed to support women with their digital manufacturing projects. The association Singa, known for its platform bringing together refugees and shelters, organised the event “Meet your buddy 2.0”, to test the platform. Lastly, the association Article 1 (formerly Frateli and Passeport Avenir), supporting young people through their digital training, presented its digital workshops to young people as part of its Skills Camp workshops.
