Citizen Commitment Time 2017 embodies Societe Generale's civic commitment and is an annual highlight that underscores its employees" involvement right around the world. This year, over 40 countries, including Brazil, Japan and Madagascar are taking part in Citizen Commitment Time 2017. This represents around one hundred sporting and charitable events that began in May and will continue into October.
Thanks to the commitment of Societe Generale employees, more than 100,000 km travelled so far worldwide. Those kilometers will be transformed in money donation to charitable projects that benefit education and integration through sporting and / or cultural activities.
This year in Asia Pacific, for example, employees will once again hold an annual cycling race called the Asia Pacific Charity Bike Ride for Citizen Commitment Time. More than 150 employees from 11 different countries will take part in the race that takes place over two days from 20 to 22 October 2017 in Chiang Mai in Thailand. The money will be donated to partner charities. This sporting and charitable event brings together the various subsidiaries and helps develop team spirit among employees.
