For the past 20 years, the Chaîne des Foyers Saint-Nicodème has been helping young people in difficulty to reintegrate into society in Cameroon.
Since 2010, Societe Generale has been helping young people in difficulty in Cameroon. Societe Generale Cameroon and the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation regularly support the Chaîne des Foyers Saint-Nicodème, which helps children and young people in difficulty to reintegrate into society in Cameroon.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Chaîne des Foyers Saint-Nicodème was keen to mark the event by inviting its partners, guardians and the children from its four youth centres to an evening event held at the French Institute of Cameroon in Douala.
Societe Generale Cameroon and the Societe Generale Foundation both attended the evening at which the Foundation announced further support for the integration of young girls in Douala.
The Societe Generale Corporate Foundation agreed to support Saint-Nicodème’s project worth FCFA 20 million. The new project involves vocational training in a centre for unemployed girls and young women in the district of Nyalla.
During the evening, the attendees were unanimous in their support for the humble and committed centre. The young people from the centres also demonstrated their talent through a host of creative artistic performances. The real hallmarks of the evening were “team spirit” and “commitment”.
