Ludivine Hubert works for the Societe Generale finance division. The team wanted to take part in a yearly event rooted in solidarity, open not only to all retail banking financial directorate employees, but also other departments within the Group. 60 employees spent two half-days with our partner organization, Apprentis d’Auteuil.
Apprentis d’Auteuil supports and provides training for teenagers and young adults in need to help them start their careers. Apprentis d'Auteuil has supported over 31,000 young people and families in France. The organization offers 72 vocational courses, from CAP-level certification to BTS degrees. Its headquarters in the 16th arrondissement of Paris hosts many apprentices. Ludivine and her team spent two half-days in the Apprentis d’Auteuil training restaurant.
The young people there were either working towards a CAP cooking certificate, or a vocational Baccalaureate diploma.
This experience of solidarity as a team was very popular with the employees. They were a million miles away from finance. The teams were put together randomly, mixing employees from different backgrounds, and the competition which Apprentis d’Auteuil organized for them quickly helped to strengthen bonds. Meeting the young people was a real breath of fresh air.
To thank the young Apprentis d’Auteuil apprentices for their warm welcome, the Societe Generale employees invited them to the Societe Generale headquarters a few weeks later, where they were able to sell cakes to fund their yearly study trip.
