30 Audit employees from the Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SGGSC) spent an afternoon with the children at the Bandepalya School in Bangalore. The afternoon was organised by the Magic Bus organisation. This organisation supports extremely disadvantaged children in India, placing them on the path to a better life through skills and knowledge and offering them new life prospects.
Here are the numerous activities that took place during the day:
- An educational event with the children
The Societe Generale team was divided into four groups, each interacting with the children to raise awareness of the importance of technology, health, nutrition, sport and environmental protection. The aim was to encourage the children to think independently about these topics and to represent these concepts by using newspaper and magazine cuttings, images, drawings and text.
- A visit from Father Christmas
What’s Christmas without presents? Gilles Le Pouesard, regional audit manager, gave out presents to the enthusiastic and happy children whilst dressed as Father Christmas. A backpack for each child - ideal for the new school yea
- A new year in a greener environment
After the interactive sessions, the Audit team and the children got together in teams to plant around twenty saplings in the school's courtyard. The heat didn't curb their enthusiasm and after some effort, the children can now look forward to a greener playground.
- Let’s play together
After all these activities and a good snack... it was playtime! Football matches, games of cricket, cycling... the day at the school ended with a group photo.
Employees returned full of enthusiasm
The Societe Generale employees loved sharing this moment with the children: the afternoon was a wonderful opportunity to share and bond, filled with laughter and fun.
