Can you tell us in a few words about the mission of Croix-Rouge insertion (Red Cross integration) and about your own mission as its manager?
Croix-Rouge insertion is a branch of the French Red Cross dedicated to integration through economic activity. Boasting 9 establishments located throughout France, the organisation is developing by offering technical expertise and solutions to meet the requests and needs in this area specified by agents of the French Red Cross.

My main missions as Managing Director are to manage the various establishments of Croix-Rouge insertion in line with the principles and goals of the Red Cross and to implement all actions that will allow us to improve the quality of our services, both with regard to employees on integration schemes and our business clients.

Could you describe the career of an employee at Croix-Rouge insertion? How do you support them?
Jobseekers are directed to our establishments by the organisations that traditionally arrange social work and by public employment services. Based on the subsidised integration jobs available in our establishments, we offer them a part-time contract of employment (fixed-term integration contract) for paid manufacturing work that includes training.

Throughout the duration of their contracts, they are offered personalised support, aimed at helping with the social problems that limit their employability and prevent them from acquiring those skills that could help them to achieve their career goals.

In addition, more than half of our employees find work within under two years thanks to the job shadowing, individual interviews, training and work placements we offer.

What is your best memory of your time with Croix-Rouge insertion?
Of course, there have been many great moments. Signing the contracts securing the sustainability and development of one of our establishments, for example, or the creation of a new business that has great social value like LogisCité, an integration company dedicated to helping families experiencing fuel poverty, are all events marking collective success that I take great pleasure in sharing with the permanent teams. But the times that definitely stand out most in my job are those when we offer a concrete solution to a problem or help one of our integration employees achieve a life goal. Like the family of one of our employees, who we have supported in finding a new home after a fire in their apartment, or the amateur photographer who can exhibit and sell his works in one of our establishments and eventually set up his own business.
