With branches in Saint-Denis, Nanterre and Noisy-le-Grand, the charity provides opportunities for young professionals to give individual support to young people in Seine-Saint-Denis and Hauts-de-Seine. Each mentor helps and supervises a teenager or young adult for at least a year, giving them academic support and/or career guidance. In 2010, 168 mentorships were set up. Several Société Générale employees are mentors.
Societe Generale has partnered the association since 2008.
The Nos Quartiers ont des Talents (Inner City Talent) scheme was launched in November 2005 to help new graduates from disadvantaged areas who have completed at least four years at university find their first job.
Societe Generale has partnered the association for the past three years, and thanks to the support of its employees, it is the leading mentoring network, with over 250 mentors who have helped over 500 young people. Half of these young people have obtained a permanent contract suited to their qualifications and aspirations.
Nos Quartiers ont des Talents aims to raise the number of young people sponsored from 2,000 to 20,000 and the number of mentors from 2,000 to 12,000 per year by 2015. To reaffirm its commitment to promoting and encouraging diversity, Societe Generale aims to have 2,500 employee-mentors by 2015.
