See below for the provisional schedule for Citizen Commitment Time 2016 worldwide and regionally. Various events will be confirmed and clarified in the coming weeks; the schedule will therefore be regularly updated. Here are the events which have already been confirmed:


APRIL

  • 3 April India - employees volunteer for a training session run by professional rugby players for youngsters from the Rugby Slums Club in Chennai.
  • 3 April Italy - 30 employees take part in the Milan Marathon for the benefit of the "Il Bullone" project.
  • 7 April South Africa - employees take part in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge.
  • 9 April Singapore - employees volunteer to run games and sports activities for 30 children from the association "Beyond Social Services".
  • 13 to 19 April India – supporting a summer camp (with activities as music, theatre, history, etc.) for disadvantaged children and organized by the Aseema Charitable Trust.
  • 14 April – France (Rueil-Malmaison) – Franfinance employees participate to Special Olympics run
  • 14 and 15 April Vietnam - employees of SG Singapore host Professional Life Training (PLT) sessions for young people from "Passerelles Numériques" in Danang.
  • 16 April Singapore - employees accompany 15 young people from the association "Beyond Social Services" for a kayak trip around the island of Ketam.
  • 18 April (all week)France – volunteering days for La Collecterie
  • 21 April – Italy – employees will host young people from Sport dans la Ville
  • 22 AprilUK - employees will host young people from Sport dans la Ville
  • 26 April - Dubai - Cake Sale at SG Dubaï's office for SmartLife Foundation.
  • 27 April France - employees presented their jobs to young people receiving support from Proxité.
  • 28 AprilSingapore – employees will take part to the JP Morgan Run.
  • 30 April - Singapore - rugby sessions for young people from the association "Beyond Social Services", run and supervised by employees.

MAY
  • May - Czech Republic – employees will get  to work by bike, alternatively by running or walking for Sport without prejudices
  • May Hong-Kong – organizing with The Hans Anderson Club,  6 days with activities (storytelling, games) for disadvantaged children
  • May (several dates) - United Kingdom - ongoing volunteering activities where SG volunteers work with students from St Peter’s and Canon Barnett Primary Schools on a number of activities to develop their academic knowledge, confidence and communication skills. 
  • May (several dates) - United Kingdom - "Literacy Lunches" : volunteers help to improve the English language skills of local women through various activities based on everyday scenarios (with City Gateway).
  • 1 May - Montenegro - supporting inclusive education through a sport day in local school : a sporting event for parentes and children is organised in the local promary school "Radojica Perovi?". Depending on the number of parents that joined the sporting activities, the Bank would make a donation to the school.
  • 2 May - Germany - Collection of clothes for refugees. 
  • 2 and 3 May - Georgia - donation of sporting equipement to a football school for underpriviledged young people and donation of computers to the Disabled League. 
  • 5 May - United KingdomVolunteers work with students to give them their first impression of the world of work and business. The workshop consists of a range of activities on transferable skills, how to sell yourself and understanding types of jobs in the city.
  • 5, 6 and 19 May - United Kingdomworkshops with Enabling Entreprise : volunteers work with school children to strengthen their key skills across teamwork, communications, problem solving and creativity.
  • 6 May - Spain - training session for young students at risk of social exclusion: how to elaborate a resume and succeed in an job interview. 
  • 7 MayTaiwan - Visit cannoe team in YuCheng high school with the beneficiaries of the charity partner Taiwan Fund for Children and Families.
  • 8 MayMacedonia – employees take part to the Skopje Marathon 2016
  • 9 May - Germany - Solidarity market: the employees donate books and DVDs in order to sell them during the solidarity market. 
  • 10 and 11 MayFrance (headquarters) – Citizen Commitment Time 2016 teasing event
  • 13 May - France (Paris) - Pro Bono for the French Red Cross. 
  • 14 MayAlgeria – employees take part to a marathon for a NGO (not chosen yet)
  • 14 May Tunisia - sports activities and a singing competition for the employees of UIB and the beneficiaries of the GAIA association.
  • 16 May France - Corporate Games MARSEILLES: a sporting and charitable inter-enterprise event for the employees of the regional delegation in Marseilles.
  • 16 and 24 May - Poland - sporting challenge: outdoor event and cross fit training. 
  • 16 to 22 MayCroatia – supporting of Vrata Otvorenih Mogu?nosti NGO which will organize theatrical activities for adults and children with special needs during the Theatre in the Heart festival.
  • 18 May Italy - open air sports activities for the employees of ALD Italy. On the programme: 5 and 10 kilometre marathons, a 3 kilometre walk, swimming and paddle surf for the benefit of "House of Peter Pan".
  • 18 May - Germany - "Run on the Main": two solidarity run are organised for the benefit of "die Arche" organisation. 
  • 20 May France - about ten employees will take part in a solidarity day at the Apprentis d'Auteuil horticultural college in Meudon.
  • 21 MaySpain – Employees and their family will participate to an educational guided tour in a Nature Theme Park (Faunia) with 20-30 children at risk of social exclusion.
  • 23 May - Maroc - Visits to SGMA headquarters for financial education and visits of the art gallery to benefit disadvantaged young people from SOS Villages d’enfants Maroc, public schools and orphanages.
  • 23 May France - the employees of DRIF Sud will walk together to the Societe Generale Towers in La Défense for "Apprentis d'Auteuil" (an association for young people in difficulty).
  • 23 MaySpain – employees participate to training sessions for unemployed people at risk of social exclusion from Fundacion Integra.
  • 23 and 24  MayFrance (headquarters, La Défense) – Sports challenge
  • 23 and 24 MayFrance (headquarters, Val de Fontenay) – Sports challenge
  • From 23 May to 3 June France (DEC, Paris Bourse) - 2 exercise bikes to be provided for employees to pedal to benefit Comptoir de la Voute.
  • 25 MayGhana – Employees  will spend a day to paint, clean to help a NGO and spend some quality time with the children beneficiaries of the NGO (counseling, games, etc.).
  • 25 May France - employees from the Societe Generale IT Department will be running "IT4KIDS" workshops to initiate around a dozen young people from "Apprentis d'Auteuil" in computer skills.
  • 26 MayUSA (Chicago) – employees take part to the JP Morgan Run for Back on my feet
  • 27 May France - a fitness trail for the employees at the Autun Military Academy for the benefit of ADAPEI (association for the mentally disabled) in the Côte d'Or Department.
  • 27 MayPortugal – outdoor sports challenge at Sintra mountain for a NGO.
  • 28 and 29 MayJapan – sports day with children during Nadia International Soccer Friendly Cup
  • 29 May France - employees of DEC in Courbevoie will take part in a football and athletics tournament, also for the benefit of "Apprentis d'Auteuil".
  • 29 May Morocco - employees of SGMA are invited to travel by bike for a day for the benefit of "SOS Villages d'Enfants Maroc".
  • 30 May - Luxembourg - Bike Challenge for the benefit of Special Olympics. 
  • End of May/June – Poland - Educational workshops in the field of finance for kids from child care home conducted by employees. 
  • From May to October - Romania10 sporting events throughout the country : swimathons, marathons, bikeathons and obstacle course to allow the creation of an Art & Music school for disadvantaged children and youn people.
 
JUNE
  • June Hong-Kong – organizing with The Hans Anderson Club,  6 days with activities (storytelling, games) for disadvantaged children.

  • 2 June - France (DEC, Saint Etienne) - a citizenship day of sports activities (pétanque, Nordic Walking and Zumba) at the Beaulieu rugby stadium for the Saint Etienne Handisport Club.
  • 3 JuneSpain – volunteering morning to help Banco de Alimentos NGO
  • From 6 to 10 June Poland - as part of the "Eurobike" project, employees are invited to travel by bike to benefit the "Fundacja Rosa" association.
  • From 6 to 10 June Poland - several initiatives organised to benefit the United Way of Poland charity: a sporting and charitable challenge, cake sale and auction.
  • 7 JuneFrance  (La Défense) – Special Olympics run
  • 7 JuneSpain - employees participate to training sessions for unemployed people at risk of social exclusion from Fundacion Integra.
  • 9 June - France (DEC, Cognac) - during the DEC summer fête, employees will take part in and run musical workshops for the beneficiaries of Arche.
  • 10 June France (DEC, Albi) - a day of sporting activities (running, walking, bicycling) and cultural activities for employees to benefit Apprentis d'Auteuil.
  • 10 June France (PSC, Montpellier) - employees are invited to pedal on exercise bikes positioned in front of the PSC. The proceeds will go towards the association APS34.
  • 10 June France (DEC, Avignon) - sporting and charitable challenge: bikes in the fitness centre of the Cap Sud shopping mall made available to employees to support the charity project Des étoiles et des femmes.
  • 10 and 11 JuneIndia (Calcutta) – Get Into Rugby, an entire day with disadvantaged children to learn Non Contact Rugby with the Indian Rugby Football Union.
  • 13 and 14 June – India (Bhubaneswar) – Get Into Rugby, an entire day with disadvantaged children to learn Non Contact Rugby with the Indian Rugby Football Union.
  • 14 June France (ASSU/La Défense) - sporting and solidarity challenge for Apprentis d'Auteuil.
  • 14 June - France (ASSU/Saint Quentin) - sporting and solidarity challenge for Apprentis d'Auteuil.

  • From 15 to 20 June Moldova - employees are invited to take part in a bike ride from Moldova to Romania.

  • 16 June France (La Défense) – Pro Bono day for Drop de Béton.
  • 16 and 30 June United Kingdom - Volunteers work with students to give them their first impression of the world of work and business. The workshop consists of a range of activities on transferable skills, how to sell yourself and understanding types of jobs in the city.
  • 16 and 17 June France (PSC, Viry-Chatillon) - employees will be able to take part in a walk around the lakes in Viry to benefit Apprentis d'Auteuil.
  • 18 June - Bulgaria - annual sports day with Societe Generale Expressbank.
  • From 20 to 24 June - United Kingdom - Dress down week for the benefit of MIND. 
  • 24 June France (DEC, Poitiers) - employees are invited to take part in sports activities with "Athlètes Handicapés" to benefit CDH86.
  • 24 June - France (DEC, Orleans) - fitness activities: treadmills, exercise bikes and rowing at the Woden Fitness Club in Saran to benefit La Couronnerie.


JULY

 

  • 1 July - France (DEC, Pau) - races and swimming to benefit CD64 Handisport.
