The solidarity breakfast with the charity Nuevo Horizonte that took place May 6th was a complete success. This initiative, part of the Citizen Commitment Time 2015 program, opens the solidarity season in Spain that will last until the end of June.
More than 30 employees came to the solidarity breakfast. We were lucky to have Carmen Muela, the technical manager of the orgnization, and Ainara Buren, the accommodation service coordinator, as guests. They both helped us understand more about the autism spectrum disorder with their presentations and the videos they showed us. They explained all the activities they do in the organization in order to help the youngsters that join. The meeting allowed us to know more details about how the organization works. Also the attendees could taste the delights of Legantis, a social catering from Caritas.
Carmen Muela and Ainara Buren also showed us the products Nuevo Horizonte does in their leather goods workshop, called Puntadas Solidarias. These products will be in the Solidarity Market that will take place June 9th. Puntadas Solidarias from Nuevo Horizonte is the winner of Proyéctate, therefore is the project we will support from 2015 to 2016 in Spain.
