Non-profit organisation Réussir Moi Aussi aims to help young people study, make educational and career decisions, and get into work. The guidance is given by qualified professional coaches. The charity works in the following areas:
- Educational guidance;
- Reducing absenteeism and school drop-out rates;
- Getting people into work (training, jobs);
Training education and careers professionals in using tools for coaching young people.
The Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity supports the "Votre Emploi, Top Secrets" scheme, which offers advice to young people on furthering their employment ambitions.
Each one-day session is split into two parts: first a professional coach prepares them to meet companies and training centres. This preparation, led by a coach and by volunteer sponsors from the world of work, enables young people to hone certain tools (writing CVs and cover letters) and gain more self-confidence (candidate/recruiter role plays, attitudes and behaviours for interviews, knowledge of jobs, expressing fears and expectations, etc.).
Companies and training centres then come and present their sectors to the whole group before interviewing each young applicant. The follow-up between the speakers and the young people gives the career coaches an opportunity to review the meeting and enables the volunteer sponsors to track the candidates' progress.
