On 27th November the second ITEC Pro Bono day took place at the Tours Société Générale in Paris-La Défense. ITEC employees (employees in financial IT services) provided their skills in IT for the benefit of 3 associations, a day organised within the scope of their "Great Place to Work" programme.
This work day, managed by the association Pro Bono Lab, a partner of Société Générale, gave some thirty ITEC employees an opportunity to help charity associations by helping them on a number of previously defined issues.
- The association Dons Solidaires needed greater visibility and wanted to improve its online communication.
- The association Les Concerts de poche needed assistance in creating a contact database to help organise their concert tours.
- The association Habitat Participatif Ecologique et Solidaire needed skills to create a specification for their new online platform.
Hasna, IT Project Manager, explained their experience of the Pro Bono day: « During this day, you provide more than a turnkey product, but also a methodology and business processes as well as external advice which could help the association ».
Marion Gougeat, representative of one of the charity associations : « It gives us an opportunity to put things into perspective; we are supported by people who are used to using tools which we don’t necessarily have, and they have a skill which can help us enormously ».
This second business day demonstrated the desire of different organisations to provide skills-based sponsorship, in order to reinforce team spirit and solidarity in their services.
