Every week, we highlight a partner association of the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity.
The Charles Péguy Centre is an association working to help young French speakers enter the labour market and fit in socially in the UK, mainly in London.
In 2014, the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity renewed its support for the "Plan emploi" (Job Plan) project that provides support for young people with a vocational degree find a job and a social life in the UK.
Beneficiaries are given personalised guidance through an interview to define a career path and then with weekly follow-up meetings. They are provided computers and a knowledge base about working in London.
Many workshops are also held to help the young adults while they seek situations. There are group workshops on finding a job, workshops taught by English-speaking staffing professionals and classes given by job coaches on writing a CV in English and translating common documents.
