Every week, we highlight a Societe Generale Foundation for Solidarity partner charity.
Created in 2004 by Secours Catholique, the Tissons la Solidarité network consists of 70 SIAEs (professional integration through economic activity programmes) that focus on recycling, sorting and selling second-hand clothing. The network guides the SIAE towards economic sustainability, increasing the rate of return to employment of their employees on an inclusion programme and mobilising all stakeholders involved in helping women return to lasting employment.
In 2014, the Foundation is supporting the development of the Tissons la Solidarité network by:
- developing collection from businesses to increase the quality of the products sold in shops in order to boost sales. The aim is also to create a relationship with the businesses involved in the collection to promote the project among their employees and, when possible, to facilitate recruitment of employees on inclusion programmes through work experiences;
- creating a common graphic identity for the Tissons la Solidarité shops and guiding the organisations: specifications, colour code;
- investing in sewing equipment so that employees can pass the "alteration" module to earn the title of "clothing retailer".
