"Parcours en images" (My path in images), a project developed by E2C 92 with support from the Societe Generale Foundation for Solidarity in 2013, will be unveiled at the Bouygues Immobilier site in Issy-les-Moulineaux on 18 September.
The "Parcours en images" project was made possible in 2013 thanks to collaboration with Florence Levillain, a professional photographer.
This project has been a great opportunity to showcase the journey a young person takes when studying at the Ecole de la Deuxième Chance 92. They undergo clear changes: the course improves self-confidence and provides a simple introduction to the rules of behaviour from the time the students start the course until they find work.
The photographer worked long and hard to capture the influence this kind of training can have on school drop-outs. It is an original illustration, one which is much more meaningful than numbers and statistics. That is why the Societe Generale Foundation for Solidarity supported the "Parcours en images" project in 2013.
E2C 92 graduate Mélanie, 23, talks about her journey:
When I started at E2C 92 I didn't want to go back to school afterwards. I mainly wanted to take a new direction. I quit school after failing a secretarial course, and then worked part-time for a few years in a fast-food restaurant.
The refresher courses at E2C 92 and the work experience placements really helped to motivate me. During my training at E2C 92, I did a work placement at ALD Automotive and three work placements at the local council.
I have been hired as an apprentice at ERDF to do a vocational baccalaureate in Reception & Customer Service. I'm now in my second year and will take my final exams in June.
