Towards a just and sustainable world!
Convergences, founded in 2008, is the first European discussion platform designed to create new synergies between public, private and charitable actors to promote the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and eliminate poverty and precarity in the global north and south.
At a time when we are starting work on the new development goals, the 2014 World Forum will focus on "Goal 2030: Building tomorrow’s world together", which breaks down into 3 main pillars:
- A post-2015 global partnership for sustainable consumption and production (SCP)
- Sustainable development: new practices, new financing
- New technologies for change
Getting all stakeholder, public, private and charitable alike, involved in eliminating poverty is essential.
By creating connections between them, Convergences has developed a large-scale programme including debates, arguments in favour of economic alternatives, and innovative solutions.
