Every week, we highlight a Societe Generale Foundation for Solidarity partner charity.
Humeur Aqueuse, which was founded in 2005 and has locations in several underprivileged areas of Strasbourg, opened the workshop-boutique De Visu in 2012. De Visu aims to develop an economic integration programme based on the creation and sale of clothes and textiles.
The boutique works like a professional integration programme, with people on subsidised contracts assisted by two qualified stylists. It receives orders for theatre costumes and does production runs for young designers in addition to distributing the association’s own creations: the De Visu collection.
In 2014, the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity supported the consolidation of the workshop’s activities in favour of people on professional integration contracts. The beneficiaries are trained on professional machines and receive support from integration advisors to help them achieve their career goals. They attend group workshops which feature personalised help in finding training centres, preparing for job interviews, and writing CVs and cover letters.
