The Citizen Commitment Games are once again on everyone’s lips, with the qualifying rounds rapidly approaching. Just a few days left to raise some funds and secure your chance to participate!
Launched just two months ago, but already a huge success
The Citizen Commitment Games were launched on 3 February and are already enjoying massive success. More than 500 teams have been formed by Societe Generale employees from all over the world. A total of 135,000 euros has already been raised for the event’s partner associations – and that is just the start, since donations can be made up until 14 June, the date of the final in Paris!
Qualifiers all over the world
In anticipation of this festive extravaganza, and in order to be able to be a part of it, registered employees will take part in qualifying rounds in all 28 countries participating in the event. These qualifiers will begin in Paris on 3 April with the flag rugby qualifying round. Germany will then follow suit, holding its qualifiers on 5 April. Each country and every region in France will organise its own qualifying rounds in April and May, with each qualifying round representing a chance for employees to get to know the partner associations for which they are fundraising, and for Societe Generale to present its community initiative to all employees of the Group.
Simply fundraise enough to qualify
These qualifying rounds will run on the principle of a round robin, followed by direct elimination matches. However, all employees will have a chance to win, since the sports rankings will be combined with a solidarity ranking, which is related to the amount fundraised by each team - so those who collect the most will stand a very good chance of winning!
The winners of each qualifying round will travel from their respective countries to Paris to participate in the finals in Paris on 14 June.
