As part of the Citizen Commitment Games––a sports and charity challenge held to celebrate Societe Generale’s 150th anniversary––employees raise money for an association and take part in a sports competition.

Every week, discover an association supported by employees taking part in the Citizen Commitment Games.

Apprentis d’Auteuil is a well-known and officially recognised charitable organisation, which cares for, educates, trains and helps young people experiencing social, family and educational difficulties get their lives back on track. The organisation works in over 200 establishments. Close to 14,000 young people have benefited from one of the 66 Apprentis d’Auteuil programmes, which are divided into 12 professional domains. Each young person receives personalised training in a professional field of their choice.

Since 2011, the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation has been supporting the charity. Today, it is one of the charity's main partners. Like Societe Generale, Apprentis d’Auteuil has been around for over 150 years.  A point in common between the two organisations and which has encouraged employees to raise money for Apprentis d’Auteuil. All the money raised during the Citizen Commitment Games will be allocated to two training and job finding projects.

In the Paris region, the St. Jean organisation plans to use sport as an educational lever (horse riding, rugby, skiing and combat sports) for around 300 young people ages 14-25 by developing new projects starting in autumn 2014. Young people receiving horticulture and landscaping training on the same site will also be able to improve their professional skills by learning how to create a living roof - an innovative skill which will be useful in their future career.

The "Petites Pouces du Lac" day care centre in Bordeaux will also benefit from SG employee fund raising activities. The donations will be used to care for disadvantaged children as well as improving the long-term social and professional prospects of young mothers.
