In 2014, Societe Generale Institute entered into new partnerships with the Instituto Hatus de Musica e Rugby para Todas via Incentive Law to Culture and Sport. The NGOs chosen help children, adolescents and young people with educational projects, opening the doors for these young people in the future.
Rugby para Todos (Rugby for Everyone) serves 200 students from 7 to 17 years old. Sebatien Gautier relationship manager for multinational companies at SG CIB, was the employee who nominated the institution for the partnership. “They are in line with the values of SG Group, as well as opening doors for young people though sport,” he commented. According to Jérémie Dron, project manager at SG Institute, the educational nature of the project was a fundamental factor in the choice because of having other elements as well as sport. Adding to this, Paraisopolis is a region that needs a lot of support and where we have not yet take action,” he affirmed.
In turn, Hatus de Musica (Hatus of Music) organizes projects that target the training of musicians. Currently, there are 110 children and adolescents from 7 to 11 years old who attend from the region Vila dos Remedios. For 4 years the NGO has counted on musical professionals like teachers and conductors. “The partnership will be fundamental in achieving our objectives for 2014 and will give continuity to others projects,” commented Gislene Nunes, coordinator at Hatus Institute.
With the consolidation of these new projects at the end of 2013, SG Institute finalized its partnership with Miratus. According to Jérémie, the developed project reached its autonomy and already has support for the next step. “We will always lend our support to the projects and the institution’s growth”, he commented.
