On Tuesday, 25 February 2014, the closing ceremony for Clic-Emploi 2013 – an initiative supported by the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity – was held in the offices of the AG2R – La Mondiale Foundation in Paris.
This event was an opportunity to present the outcomes of the second edition of Clic-Emploi, an initiative launched in 2012 by Ateliers Sans Frontières. The initiative aims to provide employees on job creation schemes in the Paris region (Structures de l’Insertion par l’activité Économique) with IT equipment and training.
Since it was set up, around 500 employees on job creation schemes have received IT equipment and 255 have received training on how to use computers including word processing (to write CVs), emailing and using the Internet. Thirty-nine other organisations in the Paris region have also benefited from the initiative.
After a presentation of the initiative’s actions, there were testimonies from the partners and volunteers from the Orange Foundation for the Digital Solidarity – co-hosts of the training sessions.
Through their personal experiences, employees on job creation schemes were able to highlight the importance of access to IT equipment and the important role it plays in their everyday lives.
This presentation also provided an opportunity for the support workers, participants and volunteers to share their views and hopes for the 2014 edition.
The Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity also said a few words about its involvement and support for the programme.
