Some employees want to develop a long-term relationship with those they are helping. Mentoring is an ideal option. Over a six-month period, for a few hours each month, they assist a person in difficulty or a person excluded from the job market with their education, their career or their job search, by sharing their experience and tips.
“I mentored a young Sudanese banker and refugee in France. The support structure is great. It helps demystify what it means to be a refugee. It really had a profound effect on me after witnessing their resilience.”
