On 14 and 15 November, the Pro Bono Factory was held at La Défense. 250 employees from committed companies, including 20 Societe Generale employees, shared their skills with 20 non-profits. 

Societe Generale also hosted two missions in its premises, one of which was devoted to La Maison de l’Amitié.


Working together to address the needs of the associations

 

The Pro Bono “marathons” pool the skills of employees over a short period of time to provide a targeted response to the needs of partner associations. La Maison de l’Amitié, a non-profit focused on creating social ties with people living in extreme hardship benefited from one of these sessions: a dozen employees from Allianz, Deloitte, Enedis, EDF, DXC Technology and Societe Generale worked to enhance its social impact.

 

Being useful and developing skills

 

Among the solutions suggested to La Maison de l’Amitié were communication and data collection tools. “This day enables us to gain some perspective on our daily work,” explains Antoine de Tilly, Director of La Maison de l’Amitié. For the employees, the pro bono days are also an opportunity to learn while giving back to the community. “This mission has helped me to see how to implement the impact and test tools, while making myself useful,” reveals Malgosia Guibert, in Impact Based Finance at Societe Generale.
