Institut Gustave Roussy

In detail

The top centre in the fight against cancer in Europe, Gustave Roussy gathers together 2,600 professionals at the same site, whose mission is to care for people with cancer, to develop new therapies and to spread information in medical and scientific communities both in France and overseas.

Gustave Roussy looks after adults and children with rare and common cancers, at all stages of the illness, within an establishment where care, research and education are closely linked. Its expertise and medical practices make it a flagship centre both in France and at an international level.

History of partnership

The Societe Generale Foundation supports the implementation of a socio-professional reintegration programme for teenagers and young adults (15-25 years old) affected by cancer. This care has been proposed to teenagers and young adults in professional training, higher education, workers, or those with a disability, throughout the Institut Gustave Roussy, with a multi-professional cross-disciplinary team, and in collaboration with the Juris Santé Association, in order to provide them with assistance to get back into work, training and integration/reintegration into active life.
