The association aims to offer orphan or abandoned children with a new family life, which respects their history and their rights, in order to fight against the abandonment and marginalisation of children when their parents are not able to provide education or care.
- creates and coordinates villages where orphan and abandoned children can find an emotional, educational and material framework to help overcome their suffering and prepare for their future.
- creates and organises welcome centres so that families in difficulty can rebuild family bonds and recover the ability to correctly raise their children, creating and managing care organisations and additional information for previous missions.
- raises awareness amongst public powers and the community to make childhood a priority and in particular to fight against unhappy childhoods.
The Societe Generale Foundation has supported a literacy and anti-illiteracy project since 2012 which aims for the professional integration of adults. In 2014, it co-financed training programmes at an integration centre for young people from SOS villages.
BFV-SG, the Malagasy subsidiary of Societe Generale, supports and monitors the association's projects locally.
