The purpose of the Îlot shelters is to welcome and reintegrate people who have been rejected from society and who are experiencing great stress, as a priority men and women who have or had a sentence, and particularly people who are leaving prison and benefiting from a reduced sentence. Each year, the Association receives around 1,200 people.
To date, the association is involved in Picardy and in Ile-de-France:
- 5 accommodation and social reintegration centres which welcome young men and women, houses them and supports them in their integration;
- 1 group of work integration workshops which provide training and support for the employment of men and women in three activity areas: catering, auto repair and carpentry;
- 2 Integration-Qualification Workshops employ, over a qualifying period of 11 months, young people who are leaving prison or with a reduced sentence, and supporting them to obtain certification as a catering officer.
The Societe Generale Foundation has supported activity which encourages the Integration-Qualification Workshops since 2013.
